You needed cash to put a deposit on the room key. Awkward, as we didn't have enough, and there wasn't an ATM nearby.

The hotel was newer and had a lovely view and the staff was very friendly.
The hotel was newer, clean, had a lovely view, was boutique sized and the shower was hot.
The breakfast was the same day in and day out. Instant coffee, hot dogs and one of the eggs was rotten. You had to ask for maid service as it was not automatically provided. But it was necessary or else you ran out of toilet paper and wouldn’t get your bottled water ration. After being gone all day and then returning, that’s when they asked if you wanted your room cleaned but then you wanted to rest. They had community children’s swimming lessons in the pool. It was almost impossible to get a hotel receipt upon checkout and you could not make an international phone call there or anywhere in town.
